Do I need an unlock or a bench setup?
No. Everything goes over OBD without an unlock. Your ECU stays in the car the whole time.
What hardware do I need?
The MHD Universal Adapter. If you already flash your own car, chances are it is sitting in your glovebox.
Is my car supported?
Download the app and run the free check. It lists every feature your car supports before you pay anything. Two cars that look identical on paper can answer differently, so the check at the car is the answer we stand behind.
What happens after a BMW software update?
Your purchase is tied to your car. If an update removes a feature, flash it again at no extra cost.
Can a feature be removed again?
Yes. The app can put your car back the way it was before the installation, in the same place, with the adapter plugged in.
What happens to my warranty?
Changes to your car can affect what a dealer covers. We are not the manufacturer and cannot speak for them. If this matters to you, ask your dealer before you buy, and remove the feature before a service visit.
Is remote start even allowed in Austria and Germany?
What Austria and Germany actually regulate is letting an engine run while the car is parked, and those rules apply to every car, with or without Remote Start. The function itself is the manufacturer’s own software and switches off after 15 minutes at the latest. Know the rules for the place where you park, and use it there with judgment.
