How to delete your account
Open the app, go to Settings, tap your name at the top, then Delete my account. The screen you land on lists exactly what goes and what stays, and asks you to confirm.
It takes effect immediately. You do not have to write to us, and you do not have to explain why.
If you no longer have the app, write to contact@castoflasher.com from the address the account uses and we will do it for you. We answer these in writing, normally within two working days, and we do not charge for them.
What is deleted
Your name and your email address.
Your cars, everything the app read from them, and the files that were prepared for them.
Every device the account was signed in on, so the app signs out everywhere.
If you signed in with Apple, we also tell Apple, so the link between your Apple account and this app is removed.
What stays, and why
Anything already installed on your car keeps working. Nothing about deleting an account reaches a car, and nothing is undone by it.
Invoices are kept for seven years, because Austrian tax law requires it. Each invoice carries its own copy of the billing details, so it stays readable after the account it belonged to is emptied. Download the ones you want before you delete the account, or ask us for them afterwards.
The account record itself is emptied rather than removed, for the same reason: an invoice has to keep pointing somewhere. What is left in it does not name you.
Your other rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, and complain to a supervisory authority. In Austria that is the Datenschutzbehoerde. Our privacy notice sets out the rest.
