This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds nothing from anybody else. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
The fonts are served from this site rather than from a font provider, so loading a page tells no third party that you visited.
Our hosting provider processes the technical information any web server sees, including your address and the page you asked for, to deliver the page and to keep the service running.
If you leave your email address
We store the address and the language you were reading in, and nothing else. We use it once, to write to you on the day the app is released.
The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to contact@castoflasher.com, and we will delete the address.
The address is not shared, not sold, and not used for anything else.
The app
The app is a separate matter and it collects more, because it has to. When you add a car it stores what it read from that car, including an identifier unique to that car, so that a purchase can be prepared for it and so that you do not have to stand next to it twice.
Your account holds your email address, and if you signed in with Apple, the identifier Apple gives us. Passwords are never stored in a form that could be read back.
Purchase records and invoices are kept for seven years, because tax law requires it. Deleting your account empties the account record but does not delete an invoice.
You can remove a car from the app, which deletes what was read from it.
You can delete your whole account from inside the app, under Settings, then Account. What that removes and what it keeps is set out on our account deletion page.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and complain to a supervisory authority. In Austria that is the Datenschutzbehoerde.
